Sheriff Douglas C. Gillespie invites the public to learn more about the financial aspect of policing our community. In February the Sheriff will be hosting three Town Hall meetings focusing on Metro’s budget. This is the same presentation, repeated at each location.
Topics will include: LVMPD funding, More Cops Tax, budget cuts, staffing, changes to service, and Q & A with Sheriff Gillespie.
The LVMPD wants to reassure the public that despite pending budget cuts, the Department remains committed to keeping officers on the street and achieving its vision of making Las Vegas the safest community in America.
