Manhunt Monday - Michael Shane Saunders

In April of 2009, Michael Shane Saunders became involved in a violent physical confrontation with a female relative. During this fight the victim was
punched by Saunders in the mouth. Saunders fled prior to the arrival of
officers.

Several weeks ago Metro detectives were close to capturing Saunders. As the officers were entering the front of a business to arrest Saunders a fellow employee managed to warn him of the arrival of officers. Saunders fled out the rear of the business and escaped.

Saunders is a black male adult, 30 years of age, standing 5'10" tall with black hair and brown eyes. Saunders weight varies, and is usually between 185 and 235 lbs. His last known address was in the 300 block of Sturgeon Lane in Las Vegas.

Saunders has numerous tattoo’s including:
• “Big Mike” across his back,
• Multiple tattoo’s on both shoulders,
• “Trust no Bitch” on his left arm,
• Pictures of playing cards on his left arm,
• A cross on his right forearm,
• The name “Kiera” on his chest,
• A picture of calenders on his abdomen,
• The word “sparkle” on his right upper chest,
• A picture of a family scroll on his left arm,
• A picture of a smoking gun on his left lower abdomen,
• The name “Kiana Lynne” on his right chest, and
• Multiple oriental symbols on his right arm.

Saunders is currently wanted foe one count each of:
• Felony child abuse,
• Battery - domestic violence, and
• Battery - domestic violence 2nd offense.

Prior to this event Saunders had an extensive criminal record including arrests for:
• Numerous domestic violence related crimes,
• Battery, and Battery with substantial bodily harm,
• Possession of a controlled substance,
• Possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell,
• Robbery, and robbery; victim over 65, and
• Possession of a stolen vehicle.
