Manhunt Monday - Desiree Boucher


Metro pressed state lawmakers for a new law this year, increasing the penalties for attempted strangulation during a domestic violence situation. Now Metro is trying to locate one of the first people charged under that new law.

Desiree Dahlia Boucher is a white female, 32 years of age, standing 5'10" tall and weighing approximately 130 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes. Her last known address was in the 7200 block of Las Vegas Boulevard North.

In June of 2009 Boucher became involved in a violent domestic dispute with her husband. Boucher struck the victim several times, and the placed her hands around his neck in an attempt to choke him. Officers arrived in time to stop Boucher, and arrested her for both that attack and several additional arrest warrants.

Desiree Boucher failed to appear in court as required, and is now wanted for:
• Battery domestic violence,
• Domestic battery by strangulation, and
• Failure to yield the right away.

Prior to these events, Boucher’s criminal history included arrests for:
• Obstructing a Police Officer,
• Traffic related offenses,
• Trespass,
• Loitering for the purpose of prostitution,
• Attempted escape,
• Battery domestic violence, and
• Soliciting prostitution.
