Las Vegas Students Honoring Law Enforcement

This is a news release from LVMPD:
Students at Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church School have set aside a day to say “thank you” to local law enforcement.

On Tuesday, March 16, 2010, Metro officers will participate in the school’s “Kids Caring for Cops” program. During the event officers will interact with the school’s children. Demonstrations will be given to students in Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Demonstrations will include.
  • McGruff (w/ Metro Volunteers)
  • BAC Community Oriented Officers
  • Traffic
  • Mounted Unit
  • Enduros
  • K-9
  • YES (Youth Education Section)
At the event, the students will express their appreciation to the officers for protecting the community. The program will take place from 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic School, 3050 Alta Drive LV, NV 89107.
